"O taste and see that the LORD is good..." (Psalm 34:8)
Ancient Meal for Today’s Hunger is predicated on the firm conviction that the ultimate answers to the deepest longings and sincerest questions of mankind are to be found in the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Who am I?
I am Jonathan Williams. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree, awarded Cum Laude, from King College, Bristol, Tennessee (1987). I live with my wife of twenty-two years and three children in Bristol, Tennessee. To support my love for church history and liturgics, I work as a salesman for a manufacturer of various grades of welded stainless and nickel alloy pipe by day. I and my family are members of Saint Peter Presbyterian Church (CREC) in Bristol, Tennessee/Virginia. My influences include, but are not limited to, the writings of Dr. James B. Jordan, Dr. Peter Leithart, Bishop N.T. Wright, Fr. Alexander Schmemann, C.S. Lewis, sumptuous meals lovingly prepared by my wife, and a good glass of wine united with stimulating conversation.
I readily acknowledge my gratitude to the ancient, yet timeless, catholic (universal) Faith; in particular, the Reformed and Anglican traditions. I am blessed to be a member of a Presbyterian Church that practices the ancient liturgical and sacramental forms each Lord’s Day in a most beautiful and “relevant” manner. A significant portion of our liturgy is taken directly from The Book of Common Prayer. Does that make me an “Angliterian”?
